Project Information

The Urban Drainage and Flood Control District in conjunction with the City of Lafayette and the City of Louisville are sponsoring a study of the drainage basins along the city boundaries. The limits of the study are within the Drainageway A and Drainageway B watersheds in the City of Louisville and the Drainageway 7 watershed in the City of Lafayette.

Currently the Drainageway A watershed in Louisville drains to the east across Highway 42 and dead ends in an agricultural field prior to connecting to Drainageway 7 in Lafayette. This study will analyze the Drainageway A watershed and provide recommendations for future improvements to the Drainageway A and Drainageway 7 watersheds to accommodate the connection of these two drainageways and safely convey stormwater to Coal Creek.
